Care Instructions:

  • Washing Instructions:

Machine Wash Cold (30°C/86°F) – Use a gentle cycle to prevent damage to the PTFE membrane.
Use Mild Detergent – Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or strong detergents, as they can break down waterproofing and pathogen resistance.
Turn Inside Out – Protects the outer waterproof layer and prevents excessive wear.
Fasten All Zippers & Velcro Straps – Prevents snags and maintains fabric integrity.
Hand Wash Option – For light cleaning, use lukewarm water and mild soap with a soft sponge or cloth.

  •  Drying Instructions:

Hang to Air Dry – Best method to preserve waterproofing and breathability.
Tumble Dry Low (if necessary) – Low heat helps reactivate the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating.
Do Not Use High Heat or Iron – Excessive heat can damage the PTFE membrane and reflective elements.

  • Waterproof & Pathogen Resistance Maintenance:

Reapply DWR Coating as Needed – Use a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) spray after multiple washes to maintain water resistance.
Avoid Dry Cleaning – Strong chemicals can weaken waterproof and pathogen-resistant properties.
Do Not Bleach – Harsh chemicals break down the protective layers.

  • Stain & Spot Cleaning:

Wipe Off Dirt & Mud with a Damp Cloth – For minor stains, use a soft cloth or sponge.
Avoid Abrasive Scrubbing – Can wear out the protective PTFE coating.

  • Storage Tips:

Store in a Cool, Dry Place – Prevents mildew buildup.
Do Not Fold Tightly for Long Periods – Helps preserve waterproofing and breathability.
Keep Away from Direct Sunlight –
